<菲律賓搵食攻略I>
抵達宿霧,已近二時。抵達下塌的渡假酒店,大家也嚷肚餓,就在酒店的池畔餐廳吃午餐。
在菲律賓最好吃什麼?不一定吃薄餅及漢堡的,也可以試試這邊的地道菜式。前菜選炸雞又或是沙爹也可以,不然的話來個辣油煮蝦Gambas Al Ajillo也可以。湯品方面,個人最愛就是豬肉酸湯Singang na Baboy,不過是日選的是菜煮雞湯Chicken Tinola,以大量新鮮蔬菜去煮,少有的地道健康之選。
主菜首選的當然是燒豬Lechon Kawali,這邊的燒豬皮較敢但肉超嫩,邊位微脆的部份當然最好吃,去到那裡都要點的一味。還有的是燴牛尾Kare-Kare,下了不少的花生去燴煮,香味十足也帶點微甜,絕對是下飯好幫手。
甜品的話不作他想,來個芒果雪糕又或是芋頭雪糕也很不錯。而不嗜甜的我,很多時會來個雪凍的大椰子。先喝冰涼的椰子水,再叮囑店子將椰子劈開,軟嫩帶甜的椰子肉就是最美炒的甜點。或者索性來個大雜會甜點Halo-Halo,也不錯。

小編聽說今天又有學者失言了(咦?不是柯P!)於是剛剛馬上找新聞一看,乖乖不得了,節錄部份新聞內文如下:「東吳大學名譽教授劉源俊痛批,台灣文化目前是空心文化......擔憂台灣將變成下一個菲律賓。」
喂喂喂,這幾位叔叔阿姨就算要獨尊大中華文化、刻意貶低台灣本土文化,再怎麼樣也不是拿「菲律賓」來當例子好嗎?小編決定馬上重砲回擊打臉,啪啪啪啪啪啪~~~
1.語言:菲律賓有自己獨特的官方語言塔加洛語(Tagalog),全世界只有菲律賓在用,國內塔加洛語的文學、詩詞、歌曲、劇場、電影......的創作非常興盛,更不要說除了塔加洛語外還有宿霧語(Cebuano)等30幾種地方方言,每個方言還都有自己的文學系統,著名的作家、詩人、歌手......更是層出不窮。
2.節慶&宗教:菲律賓的天主教信仰十分著名,而且他們不是直接把羅馬教廷那一套搬過來照本宣科用,相反的是菲律賓重大宗教節慶如聖十字架節(Santa Cruzan)、宿霧仙奴諾節(Sinulog)、黑耶穌出巡(Black Nazarene)都是跟菲律賓地方特色結合後新誕生的節慶,每個都超過一百年歷史,跟一般天主教節慶截然不同。
3.服飾:菲律賓有自己獨特的傳統服飾,男生穿的叫 Barong,女生穿的叫 Filipiniana,都是用菲律賓本土生產的絲綢製成的,且為了因應菲律賓的熱帶氣候,材質都做的很透氣,這兩件傳統服飾在台灣也不難看到,每當遇到菲律賓重大節日時都會有外勞或新住民穿出來亮相~

4.食物:菲律賓先後受到西班牙、美國殖民統治然後又有許多中國華人移居,因此菲式菜餚帶著很多西、美、中的影子,但也不是跟那三國完全一樣,而是早已跟菲律賓本土特色結合轉變成新的樣貌,像著名的烤乳豬(Lechon baboy)、菲式燉肉(Adobo)、菲式潤餅(Lumpia)都是這樣;此外菲律賓也有不少純本土的代表性食物,像說小編很愛吃的菲式剉冰(Halo-Halo)、炸豬皮(Chicharon)都是這類~
5.除此之外還有很多面向可以繼續打臉,可是再打下去也沒意思,小編要先趕著做四方報比較重要~~
好~做個總結,小編的觀點一向是文化沒有高低優劣之分,就算是亞馬遜叢林原始部落或是極地的愛斯基摩人,他們的文化也有迷人之處,也因此台灣社會才會有四方報這種代表多元文化的獨立媒體存在;反過來說通常是內心最沒文化素養的人,才會急著在那邊強調我們的XX文化最棒你們的XX文化沒水準之類的,可笑、可悲、可嘆啊~~~

In Bali, babi guling usually served with lawar and steamed rice; it is a popular dish in Balinese restaurants and warungs. In Batak people's tradition, babi guling is a prerequisite in wedding offerings for the bride's family. In Papua, pigs and yams are roasted in heated stones placed in a hole dug in the ground and covered with leaves; this cooking method is called bakar batu (burning the stone), and it is an important cultural and social event among Papuan people.
In various Chinese communities (especially in Southern China), a pig roast known as siu yuk is purchased for the sake of special family affairs, business openings, or as a ritualistic spiritual offering.
